PSV blijft verliezen: 2-0 in Bulgarije
PSV is er niet in geslaagd een goed resultaat weg te halen uit Bulgarije. De ploeg verloor met 2-0 van de Bulgaarse koploper Ludogorets, net als in de thuiswedstrijd.
PSV had in de eerste helft controle over de wedstrijd. PSV kreeg enkele kansen via met name Narsingh, maar moest toezien hoe Ludogorets via Bezjak in de 38ste minuut op voorsprong kwam. Daaraan gingen enkele persoonlijke fouten vooraf. Zodra de Bulgaren versnelden werd het bij PSV achterin onrustig.
In de tweede helft leek PSV weer enige controle te hebben. De rode kaart voor Bruma, zijn tweede geel na dom vasthouden ver van de goal, werd PSV fataal. Met tien man kon PSV het verschil niet meer maken. De Bulgaren kwamen via dezelfde Bezjak zelfs ook nog op 2-0.
Stand in groep B: PSV nog tweede
PSV heeft voor overwintering in de Europa League in de slotwedstrijd tegen Chernomorets een gelijkspel nodig. PSV had gehoopt dat het thuisduel op 12 december er al niet meer toe zou doen.

7.05 If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of all the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings (in descending order):
a) higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
b) superior goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
c) higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;
d) higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;
e) if, after having applied criteria a) to d), teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to d) are reapplied exclusively to the matches between the teams in question to determine their final rankings. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria f) to h) apply;
f) superior goal difference from all group matches played;
g) higher number of goals scored from all group matches played;
h) higher number of coefficient points accumulated by the club in question
